Sr Mary's new job

Sister Mary Bellekom is a La Retraite Sister who’s just returned to Bristol having worked in Africa and South America for many years.  In a podcast she tells us about her fascinating new role with a project called Faith Schools and Water.

In this podcast, which is available by clicking on the link below, Sister Mary describes the important role children can play in protecting vital water sources in many countries.

The Faith Schools and Water project is run by the Alliance of Religions and Conservation and there’s much more information on the new Faith Schools and Water website.

cliftondiocese.com heard from Sister Mary along with her colleague Sister Susana last week.  Again the news concerned the importance of water.  They told us how the La Retraite Sisters in Concepción provided clean water to the whole community following the Chilean earthquake.
