Prayer with and for Asylum Seekers in Detention
Glory to You Source of All Being, Eternal Word and Holy Spirit,
We came here in flight from poverty, persecution, life at home.
We came here full of dreams, hopes and fears.
We have survived the goodbyes, the departures, the flights;
The foreign places, the strange faces, the unusual foods;
And now, Source of my Being, Eternal Word and Holy Spirit,
Continue to be with me, encourage me, give me hope.
Give patience to all who meet and deal with me.
Above all look after my loved ones at home,
That we may celebrate again one day!!!
